Content: a few instances of mild swearing. Kissing- making out, behind doors intimacy with no details but you know it happens. I really wanted to love this book, but I just didn’t. The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams was one of my favourite books of last year. It was hilarious and I remember having a smile on my face the entire time I read it. However, for me, the Temporary Roomie completely missed the mark. If you are just starting out with reading, I think you may like this but for me personally, I have been craving more depth in the books I read, and TTR just did not have that. I didn’t feel the spark between the two main characters, and they just seemed to handle everything very immaturely. I didn't like the characters and therefore couldn't get into the storyline. It just wasn’t for me. I didn't love Jessie in the first book, but I thought maybe I'd like her more once I got into her head. Nope, I liked her even less. While some of the pranks she pulls are funny, some are mean and done with malice. She's a twenty something about to have a baby, but acts like preteen with her tantrums and whining. Drew isn't totally innocent and does play pranks too, but he also has moments where he's sweet to Jessie. Remembering foods she likes and doesn't, giving her massages when she's achy, caring about her health. I'm not sure how he put up with her ridiculousness. Jessie has experienced a lot of loss already and it translates to her pushing everyone away and never accepting help. I understand that and think she could really benefit from therapy to work through her feelings of abandonment. I gave her some leeway because of this, but it doesn't excuse the mean things she says.

I'm not too big on the pregnancy or enemies to lovers trope, but I do like the fake dating, which we know is predictable. Jessie was a little much at times and came off immature. There's a bit of pranking going on, some are funny and some were a little much. I did love good old Dr. Andrew, though.

The TemporaryRoomie is not as good as I expected. The beginning of the story, it l9oks really good then the middle part becomes boring and the last part is flat. Este libro tenía mucho potencial, contaba con tres de las mejores tropas para mí: enemies to lovers, roommates y relación fingida, pero Jess hizo que todo fuese muy tedioso. Si el personaje no fuese tan inmaduro me encantaría este libro. De verdad que ella fue lo que me arruinó toda la trama. Yay!!! I have enjoyed all of them. The Match was my favorite, but I think this one might have surpassed it. I’m SO ready to read about Drew and Jessie! I could not put this book down. I stayed up waaaaaay into the night to finish it and didn't regret it at all. I'm ready to read it again!! 😁The banter between the main characters is so good and their pranks are so funny. I love Drew and Jessie so much!! When pregnant Jessie needs a place to stay, Drew's mostly empty house is the perfect solution, but once again, it's an all-out war of unbelievable pranks that had me gasping, laughing, and even swooning. They've each met their match and it's game on.
