About this deal

Ready for anything, the Forma Adventure Low boots are CE-certified to EN13634:2010 and feature an oiled full-grain leather upper construction with a mid-height design and an anti-slip rubber sole. Traditional touring boots may well keep your feet warm and dry but may not be up to the rigours of the odd off-road foray.

I’ve dragged them through rain, dirt, and more rain and more dirt, snow and the hot desert - and remarkably they’ve never once given me any trouble or discomfort. A short, touring boot might conceivably be more comfortable, but a boot like this will be more protective.

The new Forma Adventure low combines the comfort and flexibility of a road boot with features of an off-road boot. As you would expect from a boot of this nature they are very sturdy and it took a minute to mentally adjust to where my foot needed to be on gear shift. There is a Drytex waterproof and breathable liner to keep water out but allow the foot to breathe and there is TPU protection on the ankle and a large section on the shin. There are roughly three main types of motorcycle boots: ventilated boots, non-ventilated/non-waterproof boots and waterproof boots.

The Adventure Dry Low is a pretty tough and rugged short boot, but it’s going to be the kind of boot that you could still walk around in after a long day in the saddle. From the Atlantic to the Pacific and back, my experience with the Forma Adventure boots was nothing short of amazing! This variety of usage makes it important to have sturdy boots that perform equally well on and off road, yet still be comfortable enough that you can easily wear them all day on the bike and still go exploring the destination after you arrived, and that's exactly what the Adventure Low offer! Over the years I’ve collected a number of boots and while my Alpinestars Supertech R race boots were great on a race bike I needed something a little bit more rugged for use on the GS.

I had been touring with a set of Alpinestars SMX-3 boot, and while this was comfortable and easy to live with being a low boot, it was a bit too sporty and have very little in the way of grip on the sole. Inner Personalized Forma Drytex tubular lining (waterproof and breathable) / Ankle TPU moulded plastic protections / Soft polymer padding with memory foam / PP Mid Dual Flex with anti-shock EVA midsole / Anti-bacterial replaceable footbed with A. Not a mark on them from the gear selector thanks to the toe pad and the buckles adjusted up for a snug fit and didn't come undone. Protection doesn't have to compromise comfort: For comfort the Adventure boots have a padded memory foam sole so that your foot sits perfectly. Non-ventilated/non-waterproof boots: Suitable for mid-season wear, provide good protection and support.

The following day out on small adventure bikes, they worked just as well on tight, narrow single-track lanes with plenty of movement and feel for the controls. These adventure/touring boots are designed to handle full days on the tarmac, dirt roads or anything in-between. The first time I wore them was for a five-hour cross-country and motorway jaunt and they felt as good at the end as the beginning. If you're not into this particular pair of Short boots, simply check out our other adventure / touring boots from Forma.Really well made, good quality leather, but very stiff when you first put them on, I'm having to walk around the house to break them in, loosening up nicely.
