About this deal

His prophecies have been continuously in print since his death on 2nd July 1566, an event that he accurately foretold on the night before it happened.

If his methods are complex as I'm certain they are, I'd like to see him release another revision or stand alone title with the years listed with the quatrains. Nostradamus never mentions exact dates, and upon my conclusion from the explanation, it appears they were "cherry picked" and can be deciphered to fit a number of years if they matched up according to the astronomical charts. Featuring updated author commentaries, this is an internationally bestselling selection of the famous seer's most relevant propheciesNostradamus is widely known as the greatest diviner and visionary who ever lived. Hence, for instance, quatrain 10/22, purporting to forecast the death of the Queen, reads: “Because they disapproved of his divorce / A man who later they considered unworthy / The People will force out the King of the islands / A Man will replace who never expected to be king. Thirdly, the most famous of Nostradamus’s predictions regarding the death of Henri II of France was actually published after the event, not 4 years before.

Offering more than 120 prophecies for events yet to occur, plus brand-new commentaries on those that have come to pass since first publication, the author s groundbreaking translations and perceptive interpretations of the quatrains reveal extraordinarily accurate and sometimes shocking predictions for our future: these predictions include the demise of the British Monarchy, the break-up of the European Union and Global War.

But the prophecy’s veracity is in doubt because it didn’t appear in print until long after that fatal encounter. I'd give this 1 star but I realize that the ridiculous "prophecies" made by Nostradamus aren't the fault of the author. The basis of this prediction is the following quotation: “Seven months the Great War, people dead of evil-doing. In 1534, his wife and children died—presumably of the plague—while he was traveling on a medical mission to Italy. A certain brainless and lunatic idiot,” ran 1558’s First Invective of the Lord Hercules the Frenchman Against Monstradamus, “who is shouting nonsense and publishing his prognostications and fantasies on the streets.Whatever his method or intentions, Nostradamus’ timeless predictions continue to make him popular to those seeking answers to life’s more difficult questions.

The book starts with 16 plus pages consisting of an introduction, a preamble, and a biographical note. Nostradamus expert Prof Alexander Tollmann found the matter so worrying that he retreated to his bunker in lower Austria to wait out the catastrophe that never came. These words may suggest some kind of revolt against the wealthy who have traditionally been insulated from the economic turmoil affecting the rest of society. I purchased it a few months ago before the US Presidential elections and finally had a chance to read it.His remark that “man will be eating man” because “the bushel of wheat will become so high”, for example, is being seen as a reference to the calamitous effects of the interruption to Ukrainian grain exports, although its supposed corollary, the rise of cannibalism, seems a bit far-fetched. There are some reports that university officials discovered his previous experience as an apothecary and found this reason to expel him from school. We understand that not everyone can donate right now, but if you can afford to contribute, we promise it will be put to good use. History’s most famous seer, Nostradamus has been credited with predicting everything from the rise of Hitler to the 9/11 attacks, and his work is still consulted by millions around the globe.

He is also the author of eight non-fiction titles, including the Dictionary Of Cinema, the Movie Companion, the Watkins Dictionary Of Dreams, Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies For The Future and Nostradamus: The Good News. So while Reading's book did correctly predict that Queen Elizabeth II would pass away in 2022 aged 96—with her eldest son, King Charles II, succeeding her—Nostradamus did not make any mention of the monarch in his credited quatrain. Given how things have been going, it wouldn't be a stretch to believe that things may get a whole lot worse. I also took note that he has revised this book twice since its release in 2006: once in 2010, and again in 2015 (the edition I have). The point of the prophet is to provide this by showing us mugs what we have not noticed, be it a providential working-out of a larger, perhaps God-determined, purpose, the march of progress, or, as Steven Connor puts it, “a redemptive parabola rising from fall to forgiveness”.You name it, the 16th-century prophet supposedly foresaw it – right down to the death of Elizabeth II, which has made a bestseller of a book interpreting his cryptic verses. Mario Reading s unique decryption of Nostradamus's index dating system has enabled him to present all Nostradamus's prophecies in an entirely new light.
