About this deal

This much is clear when she sneaks out of her home in the dead of night and hitchhikes across state lines to meet up with a man she hasn’t seen or spoken to since high school graduation. it isn’t necessarily the best part of the ride, but it’s necessary to get you to that place where things go wild! nothing spectacular or thrilling, but its interesting enough that i wanted to continue reading and find out what happens.

Daphne relives her whirlwind romance with Jackson as he sweeps her off her feet and helps take care of her family while her father is recovering from a heart attack. She’s absolutely spiteful in her self-righteous belief that she could be a better rich asshole than all the other rich assholes. Cause Amber Patterson is on the prowl and liable to steal your entire life right out from under your nose. Reading a bit like a dark romance novel with a dash of intrigue, this book involves gratuitous sex scenes, a significant amount of time spent reveling in the glamour and amenities that come with extreme wealth, and a whole lot of interpersonal manipulation.

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to visit Iceland, or if you’re curious about attending a crime fiction festival in the future, I highly recommend adding Iceland Noir to your bucket list.

Suffice it to say that readers would have to go back to the likes of Ira Levin's A Kiss Before Dying or Patricia Highsmith's The Talented Mr. Stay tuned for the sequel in 2024 (more details to come), and if you’ve already read and loved the original and the prequel, then check out more books like The Last Mrs. After a fast engagement and wedding, their relationship starts to splinter as Jackson becomes more controlling.PARRISH for crime readers, but I also would never deny that there is something very entertaining about this book—it’s just not quite the shocking thriller it’s billed to be.
