About this deal

So here is my first review in almost three months… for the sequel to what I’d honestly say was the book that got me reviewing in the first place. Determined to get through her new high school life in “recluse” mode, she befriends only two other people, sulks in her hoodie, and blocks out the “mean girl” snickers with her iPod. After a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom can see people's auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone's entire life story by touching them. It turns out that there's this magical tree with a magical fruit that when you eat it, it makes you "truly immortal". I really did enjoy the character development of Damon – it’s quite clear from the start that there is something different about him, but as to what it is exactly, that remains slightly mysterious until later on in the book.

He loses all of his bad boy charms after the first book and they become as boring as an old married couple! Evermore has all the hallmarks of a teen supernatural romance classic – unattainable love interest of some unknown supernatural race, troubled heroine struggling to make sense of her life, antagonist character determined to keep the destined pair apart, copious physical description of all the aforementioned characters and emotional first person narrator.I highly doubt that two not very trusting people would open up to each other that quickly after hiding from everyone else for so long. I could wax on and on about the whole virgin/whore dichotomy that tears through this book like a bull seeing red but that would be a waste of time.

From a few other reviews I’ve read on Goodreads, others didn’t like the ending of Caro’s redemption, and they thought the story didn’t need to end the way it did. Polly Crosby tells ReadingZone about her novel, This Tale is Forbidden (Scholastic), a fractured fairy tale set in a dystopian world. I read this one in just two evenings and it was just what I needed to get a little “break” from the intensity of the Outlander series I’ve been involved in. Ever” is a 16 year old who has just survived a deadly crash, where her parents and little sister perished. Oh should I also mention that her name is Ever Bloom (because she needs a unique, special name damn you!Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. There were some great concepts such as alchemy, recurring souls, different planes of existence, telepathy. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she's left with more questions than answers.

I had terrible acne and I wore too much eyeliner because I thought I was emo, and I really liked wearing these frumpy ex-nursing shoes to school. I always try my best to provide you with helpful travel posts, either of places that you need to visit or what you can do to make your travels better! Though the familiar premise may hook many paranormal romance fans, none of the plot elements receive the thorough treatment they deserve, and the revelation in the end relies too heavily on backstory. She finds herself and her friends in strange and even dangerous situations, and Damen’s behavior is just plain confusing.

Summer is anything but a cool and calm personality and with the introduction of the Spring Court Prince, she’s a lovely ball of wrath and seething anger. Sister Riley visits daily in ghost form, having died with their parents in an accident that Ever perplexingly survived.

Besides the book being kind of dystopian, with Fae and magical creatures and a boarding school setting, this book has trials.Oh, and let's not forget she's seeing the ghost of her dead sister and kinda holding her hostage, saying things to the tune of "I can't lose you too! Damen Auguste- he is a complete sissy and an assholian dickhead, first of all: he is a complete cocktease with the amount of times he flirts with Ever (with all those fucking tulips- I AM LED TO BELIEVE HE HAS SOME SORT OF FLOWER FETISH) then cuts her off.
