About this deal

So, taking that in mind: what on earth does Hades think he’s doing getting together with Minthe again? This issue addresses the age difference between Hades and Persephone head on, and while the characters act in problematic ways (I mean, its the Greek Gods, what do you expect), Rachel Smyth leans into it for excellent results. It's a bizarre world we live in when readers demand the look and story to be drawn/written in a way to match their own perceptions, as opposed to digging deeper and understanding the author's choices. He refuses to use her or abuse his position to have her for himself and she refuses to believe he could ever see her as more then a friend.

It’s a love story but not a fairy tale this story shows how love is complicated and not always pretty it also shows how real love can survive through difficult times and how 2 people who come from different worlds can fall in love against the odds. Rachel Smythe is a master storyteller, filling each gorgeously illustrated page with equal parts humor, heart, and joy. Rachel Smythe's artwork is vivid and enchanting, with deeply relatable characters and a deft handling of their dark pasts.Follow the propulsive love story of two Greek gods, told with lavish artwork and contemporary sensibilities. While their unusual courtship sees a whole lot of problems the manage to keep on being involved with each other via work and become friends and later confirm their feelings for each other. Not only does Rachel Smythe's talent as an illustrator shine in Lore Olympus but also her skill with weaving a steamy, often laugh-out-loud funny, and emotional retelling.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - Witness what the gods do after dark in the second volume of a stylish and contemporary reimagining of one of the best-known stories in Greek mythology, featuring a brand-new, exclusive short story from creator Rachel Smythe. There are a minority of people who claim Rachel isn't putting much effort into her art, not to mention there are people out there taking her art and putting their twist and editing it, claiming to make it better. Hades and Persephone: This book doesn't venture into anyone else's background, it's mostly them disecretly mooning over each other and trying to reason with all the pros and cons. Lo malo es que llego con un pequeño rasguño, deberían tener más cuidado a la hora de entregar, pero fuera de eso es muy lindo. She dreams of more and wants to experience the worlds but her mother keeps her away from all men and as such Persephone is depressed.

Persephone grew out her hair so she could wear his gift, and let me tell you, she hates growing out her hair. Beautiful artwork and compelling characters [take] the forefront of this romantic, tech-savvy retelling of Greek mythology. However, she quickly discovered the dark side of her glamorous new home - from the relatively minor gossip threatening her reputation to a realm-shattering violation of her safety by the conceited Apollo - and she’s struggling to find her footing in the fast-moving realm of the gods. This volume wasn't as painful as the first volume regarding Persephone's SA experience, but it did still reflect back on that in some ways, and my heart hurts for her every time it comes up.

This dazzling interpretation of the classic Greek myths is as charming as it is provocative, and as witty as it is startlingly romantic. but the adorable connection between Hades and Persephone (with Hades usually acting all hard on the outside but on the inside is a big softie with a complicated history) being the sweetness that makes the story really stick. Without spoilers, there are triggering incidents, however these are dealt with the greatest of respect. Liv Albert, author of Greek Mythology: The Gods, Goddesses, and Heroes Handbook and creator of Let's Talk About Myths, Baby! The characters also feel like they have a bit more depth now, and their interactions are all strangely humorous or endearing. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I also enjoy Persephone’s character a lot, being the young college girl who just needs to believe in herself despite knowing she is very booksmart. You can read the entire Webtoon here, but also I do love having the physical copies of these as the art is stunning and really pops.

BUT that does NOT mean that i'm going to NOT collect the gorgeous special edition print versions hehe. However, she quickly discovered the dark side of her glamorous new home--from the relatively minor gossip threatening her reputation to a realm-shattering violation of her safety by the conceited Apollo--and she's struggling to find her footing in the fast-moving realm of the gods.
