About this deal

Using water directly from the Lammermuir Hills in Scotland and Malted Barley from nearby their brewery in North Berwick, the Days Lager is clean, crisp and sessionable. A small fluffy white head is produced which is neither here nor there, but does give us some lacing as we drink. My husband and I have been getting into alcohol free beers, and this is up there with the best we’ve tried. The relatively low amounts of sugar and calories will probably appeal to the sporty/wellness section of the market and taste-wise it’s not bad at all. We have the brewers who market their non-alcoholic brews as being part of a cool alternative lifestyle, such as Rok Soba and Mash Gang.

It was a healthy dose of fortune (and the last flight out of London pre lockdown) that led to us brewing our beers at home in Scotland.

Days Brewing Co’s duo of alcohol-free beers have been around for over a year now, and from looking at the brewery’s social media accounts, it certainly looks like their brews are getting into the hands of their intended market. It is light, with good flavour, and none of the unpleasant aftertaste that some low alcohol beers have. Lightly malted with well-balanced floral and citrus notes, Days lager is brewed with Hallertau hops and only 73 calories per 330ml of beer. I got this product to review and I didn't realise it was alcohol free until I looked at the bottle after a few sips. Days’ beers are brewed similar to other beers, but whilst other AF beers may be brewed to full strength and then have their alcohol content removed by industrial processes, Days’ method ensures no alcohol is produced at all, thus genuinely offering a beer with 0% ABV.

Beer for Doing, Alcohol Free, Only 69 Calories, Natural Ingredients, Suitable for Vegans, B-Corp, British. If you want a lager that mimics the clean-cut flavours of a typical American pale lager or German pilsner, this beer might not cut it. While reviewing over 120 alcohol free beers here at time of writing, I’ve noticed that the producers of such beverages take a number of approaches to marketing their wares. This one is the exception though; really full-flavoured, which I think does really help when it comes to making alcohol-free beer. But it might be a good option if you want something more varied, especially if it’s important to you that your beer is 0% rather than 0.I received this as a free sample, which is lucky as I would feel ripped off if I had paid money for it. Its a good easy drink, not challenging but very acceptable and holds its own amongst the various alcohol free ales I've tried. uk accepts no liability for inaccuracies or misstatements about products by manufacturers or other third parties. seems to have been the year of choice for setting up non-alcoholic brewers, I wonder what happened back then to produce the NA beer explosion?
