About this deal

Or, to put it differently: The RC40-2016 'throws' 6000 lumens over the entire distance, while the LR40R only has 1000 lumens.

This is toggled on and off while in lockout mode; press and hold for 5-10s and two flashes means the protection is enabled, eight flashes means it has been turned off. seconds to turn the light on and then each press will cycle through low, mid, high I, high II and turbo. This means that the intensity has decreased so much, it becomes difficult to see darker objects, or objects that don’t reflect light. I will say that based on my tracking of this setup, the charge profile with C to C looks the same as with the graphs above. Then the LED and Bezel details, showing the different flood and spot LEDs, plus the safety sensors that you can activate to protect the LR40R V2.With 12,000 lumens maximum output this is one serious lighting tool in a small form factor at only 154mm long x 80mm head diameter. But if I want to spot something further ahead - say a passing deer or a fox - I can enable the throw beam.

Each press after will cycle through eco, low, mid, high and turbo (in floodlight and combined settings). This torch oozes quality and if you're contemplating getting it, you won't regret going for the LR40.With the 18 XP-G3 S4 LED lights (which draw much more power from the battert) I was only able to reach the medium mode of 3000 lumens. The USB-A port that sits right below the USB-C can also be used to provide power to your devices, such as recharging your phone or other gear. If you only need a flood beam and have no use for throw then either torch works - though the LR40R seems to stay cooler than the TK72R. Setting the ring to lockout (padlock) resets the controls, so when you then unlock, you can only initially rotate the selector ring to spot.
