About this deal

Well, that was absolutely terrible :) This book was on my radar because many of my goodreads friends (<33) who had read Her Soul to Take and Her Soul for Revenge seemed to love this one too. And then when I did, I immediately wrote it off, convinced no one would possibly want to read about a woman falling in love with her stalker.

This wasn't something I was into so I shared that and stated why, and I don't see anything wrong with that. Where she holds herself with regality and grace, I have a terrible habit of slumping and sitting with my legs open. When you make someone fall in love with the darkest parts of you, there's nothing you can do that will scare them away. These scenes are so corny, I mean there’s these senators who are doing it and Z and his group are trying to hack into their society which hey? I would say that "dark romance" at this point in my reading career, is to hint at some form of sexual trauma and/or assault within the storyline.

I have a genuine question though, not to be rude or anything but what do y'all think dark romance means? This piece of literature is so dark and disturbed, I have no clue how I haven’t checked myself into a nunnery yet. ANYWAY, this is an excellent dark romance with a stalker and his prey, kinky play, and the undiluted adrenaline rush that comes from being both terrified by a man and also being turned on by him simultaneously.

It is way more sinister, but it is a story on sex trade, and the unspeakable things that are done to real people every day. They also had a sort of 'i catch and chase you and fuck you' scene but it was outside in the woods, much longer and much hotter. A part of me was curious to find out why people liked it so much, but honestly it made me feel sick.Stalked - he even sexually assaults her without her consent multiple times, telling her she'll get on the same page as him eventually and want it. I had found the description intriguing, but now that I know it romanticizes rape and glorifies assault I'm out. I found her little journal entries to be riveting and the fact that Adaline had more going on than just her stalker made the character feel more rounded.
