Supporting up to five players, each person begins the game will a full set of twenty-five colored tiles. Each tile in Legendary Forests features a various mixture of one to four different colored leaves as well as half circled runes. There’s enough choice to be actively influencing your chances of winning, but an element of luck that means you won’t beat yourself up if you lose.Between the colourful World tiles (on both sides), and the super pretty Tree tokens, it has great table presence. If you have no half-circles in this area — that is, the area is completely enclosed — then you score 2 points for each cookie in that area. Each player has an identical set of tiles and plays the same tile at the same time to their own tableau, but where each player places each tile may differ. After the last tile has been played, each player totals their points and the player with the highest score wins the game! But without knowing which numbers have been removed at the beginning of the game, will the odds pick the tiles that would be convenient for you?

Placing tree tokens in your forests will increase their beauty and worth, and at the end of the game, The closed forests will reward you with even more points! I feel like this ends up contributing to the aftermarket for a lot of game inserts, yes, but I’d rather just have something that will keep my tiles together and not cost more than the game.

Each non-purple edge of a tile has a half-circle on it; when two such edges are placed together, the owner of those tiles has created a “cookie” in that area. The Sargent’s Weeping Cherry is absolutely stunning in the Spring and the Kousa Dogwood is divine in bud.
