However, one day a man walked to their home and said he wanted to date the girl to her father. He agreed promptly and the girl asked him to come at midnight and not wake her parents. He arrives at her home at midnight and the beautiful girl leads him to a cemetery in the woods.

You guys are crazy! This is a classic, it kept me up many nights when I was a kid. Remember, it’s for kids not adults. Children can practise telling the story and make a recording, with sound effects to make it really scary. They can play it to their friends and family at night by torchlight. Her mom comforts her saying it was just a spider bite and will go away in a few days, the mum warns the little girl not to scratch.This story can be read out loud to children in a very animated fashion, which children tend to love. Children can get involved in the story as it is being told. First off, the old man in the story is creepy alone and by himself. He likes to take things not his. Then the monster is scary and this guy is all alone. This is a folk tale told in parts of the south apparently. The art is also dark and ominous. I know there are kids out there who would love this book. I did enjoy the scare of it and this is a horror story for kids. The lesson is don't take other people's things or thieve because you will pay for it.
