About this deal

Overall, this is one of those novels where you want to keep reading, it makes you smile, laugh, and reminisce about the good ol’ times. She wants to prove to her husband that she is still a complete ride and prove to her coworkers that she's still the boss.

Totally relatable in all aspects of losing and finding yourself as a Mum and the journey you embark on to reclaim the individual you need to be. If this book has any message it was very much, if you don't have kids you have no responsibilities, no worries and must have an easy life. This was a quick, easy to read, hard to put down, hilarious and heartwarming look at life after children. Some of the things to come out of Tara's mouth I've said myself (on a weekly basis I tell my husband Im going to punch him in thd balls because of our children 😆) so listening to this was Iike sitting down and having a vent with my best friends. It was the first time I got to see the reaction to my comedy in real life and it was very positive," she says.We go along with Tara on her journey to discover who she is as she needs reaffirmation and a life adjustment as she has her ‘mid-life crisis’ from spin bikes to hair changes it was definitely hilarious if not a bit over the top sometimes. However, yes this character does catch a break, yes this novel leads to happiness I just personally struggled with it. I’m already looking forward to the next installment, and I think this would work really well as a tv series. DERRY woman Serena Terry's hilarious Mammy Banter skits may have been viewed and shared by millions of people across the world, but the 36-year-old is keen to drop "truth bombs" into her social media content to remind her followers that "life isn't perfect" and "it's OK to feel insecure at times". The book tells the story of 36-year-old Tara Gallagher who used to want it all, but now just wants a nap and a Friday night in her pyjamas watching Gogglebox.

As a matter of fact, I have no clue why I'm still not as cool with everyone else as I am inside my own head (LOL). I did a podcast with Amy Huberman (known for her role as Daisy in the RTÉ drama series The Clinic) and she said to me, 'Can I play Tara? Then immediately follows that up by saying { she would report it but unlike the other women in the office she has kids to worry about and cant afford to lose her job} because the other women in the office can afford to lose their jobs? I loved that she was figuring things out on where she stood in life with 3 kids and a job that doesn’t appreciate her and what to do about it.So, she does what any self-respecting woman does and compiles a “𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘵” list with her friends as a way to get her “𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧” back - having started more fad diets, and gym memberships over the years I couldn’t relate to this feeling more - have I ever achieved getting back to my “old self”? I loved seeing these two boys team up, I can already smell there is going to be even more trouble when Jax is really able to walk and run and do everything.
