The Mani Mask is like a multi-purpose, BB Cream style product for nails, that camouflages, colours and conditions nails. It’s designed like a treatment that you use twice a week as either a base coat or standalone product, and results are obvious from the first use.

In terms of the effects it's had on my nails, I can't say as I've seen a noticeable difference to their condition, though they do definitely feel stronger after a couple of uses of the polish. I’m a fan of pampering, we know this, and one of the quickest ways to feel pampered is to pretty-up your fingers. I then use another coat of strengthener before sealing with a trusty top coat (plumpy/wet to set/or Matt) and my Mani lasts.Saying that, the smell isn't extra strong like some nail polishes, it's just normal smelling, and the smell goes as soon as it dries, as usual. The Barry M name soon became a cult name in the field of color cosmetics and in those days if you were a new romantic, punk or gothic the chances are you would have been using Barry M to make your statement!

They are formulated to condition and strengthen weak nails whilst adding a hint of colour, and have be labelled as a "tinted moisturiser for the nails". Also, coming from someone who gets flaky nails a lot (I need to eat more bananas) this actually did help a little! I picked up both the Mani Mask shades they had available and I’m going to share with you my thoughts.Hydrate - Formulated with Aloe Vera and Seaweed Pearls sustainably sourced from the Philippines, rich in antioxidants to deeply nourish, soothe and protect the nail bed. A little tint, a little opacity and a little conditioning, these give you a semi-matte, semi-sheer finish that's comparable to Butter London's Nail Foundation. I really like the Mani Masks because they both come in pretty natural colours, so as well as conditioning your nails they also leave them looking even and manicured. Now, I think if this wasn’t included on the bottle and these were sold as a base coat, my review would finish there; they apply nicely and make your nails actually feel stronger.
