About this deal

I understand why the author would be apprehensive and it's his decision how to life his own life but dear god STOP SPEADING MISINFORMATION. We get into society’s Fatal Conveniences™, the things we may be doing because the world we live in makes us believe we have to. It empowers readers to take control of their health by making informed decisions and embracing a more conscious and mindful way of life. Accountability is key, and companies must take responsibility for the impact of their products on human health, the environment, and animals. PFASs have been linked to kidney cancer, testicular cancer, liver disease, thyroid disease, high cholesterol, ulcerative colitis, difficulties during pregnancy, suppressed immune systems in children, and low birth weight, among other problems and conditions.

Awesome book on the awareness of everyday conveniences and the impact that they have on your life long-term. In my view, his worsening health condition led him to break his sobriety of 30 years and losing his life to alcoholism. The author bases his statement about 5G being harmful on ONE unsupported study (which was even replicated but never showed the same result) of how one family was sick in their home after they started using 5G signal. One of the worst examples of products using known harmful ingredients is the over 9,000 different forms of PFAS, a forever chemical that is within a class of chemicals created from derivatives of Teflon.

It’s one of those things where, while yes it is eye opening, it’s also incredibly depressing to spend your entire life being reminded that everything is trying to kill you. From his years of experience within the health space, he wrote the New York Times best-selling book, SuperLife: The Five Fixes That Will Keep You Healthy, Fit and Eternally Awesome. Darin Olien's journey into the world of health and wellness was significantly influenced by a personal tragedy. This book is definitely worth the read, and will truly open your eyes to what toxic chemicals you are being exposed to every single day, sometimes at no fault of your own. Moreover, Olien goes beyond raising awareness and offers achievable solutions and actionable advice.

Olien urges readers to recognize the detrimental effects of these conveniences and take proactive steps towards reclaiming their health.I define Fatal Conveniences™ as the things we may be doing every day because the world we live in makes us believe we have to but in reality, these conveniences are actually harming us and the planet. While Olien does provide alternative options for some of these products, I approached his recommendations with a cautious mindset, as some of the endorsements seemed overly promotional in nature.

If you are unsure of whether this book is for you, Olien’s final comments on page 212 really summarises what this book is about extremely well. He discusses the detrimental effects of prolonged sitting, lack of movement, and the importance of regular exercise. These practical tweaks can have significant long-term benefits and encourage a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle.Darin’s interest in food and nutrition began when a college football injury drove him to uncover better ways to heal his body. Let this book be the catalyst that sparks your journey towards a healthier, more informed lifestyle. Chapter 1: The Dark Side of Convenience In this chapter, Olien introduces the concept of “fatal conveniences” and highlights the inherent risks associated with modern lifestyles.
