About this deal

Huawei B818 was introduced two years ago but recently, Huawei supplied this new 4G wireless router to the market and some network providers. Huawei B818 4G router Prime has two variant models now: Huawei B818-260 and B818-263. The Huawei B818-263 is also named Huawei 4G Router 3 Prime. I changed nothing: So EE sim in a B818-263 router which fed signal to Huawei Q2 Pro mesh. The APN was modified on your previous advice to IPv4 In my quest to upgrade the home network, I'm fine with buying a new Unifi switch, I have the 'business case' for more ports and PoE, so could easily match the U6-lite with a Switch-lite 16 port. Equally if there's some issue that requires a Unifi USG then I'm more than happy to add that too, I just cant see what would cause this issue? Obviously I can go round removing one HA device at a time and see if that does it, or conversely add them to the BT SH2 that is currently being used as the 'switch' for the B818 network, but that only has 4 ports so can't get all the devices on it. The Huawei B818 router WLAN works on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and, in addition to the standard network, also enables a guest network. Thanks to 3 × 3 MIMO antenna technology, speeds of around 1.3 GBit/s can be reached via WLAN.

HUAWEI B818 gives you uninterrupted Internet access thanks to the combination of a mobile network and an Ethernet connection.Get access to fast internet using Wi-Fi or a network cable. You can also create your own local network. This article covers the most common questions and answers about the B818 modem (e.g. how to set up your modem). I'm on EE, with my nearest mast being B3 only, and using a Poynting XPOL-2 directional antenna. My experience so far is that the performance and stats of the b818 are very similar to the b618 when using external antenna, although it does seem to give slightly better signal stats than the older device if comparing the internal antenna. The Huawei B818-263 router is a high-speed wireless router that provides fast and reliable internet connectivity. Designed to meet the needs of both home and small business users, this router offers a range of features and capabilities.

Swapping the antennas causes poor LTE signal parameters of 800MHz. (short antennas are for high bands) The Huawei B818-260 LTE Router supports 4 × 4 MIMO antenna technology as well as carrier aggregation (channel bundling). The following LTE frequency bands are available: B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B28, B32, B38, B42. In the downlink, the maximum theoretical data rate could reach 1.6 GBit/s and up to 150 MBit/s in the uplink is possible.

The other thing that appealed was that the b818 offers bridge mode. Switching to bridge mode worked OK with just my laptop connected, but I got very odd behaviour with my (shiny new) Ubiquiti ER-X connected - it kind of worked, but with random hangs and connection issues - but that could be down to me not having set the ER-X up properly. I've given up for the moment to avoid too much family anguish. The Huawei B818 comes with built-in cellular antennas in the device. These offer a very good reception in the LTE network, especially in comparison with many smartphones. Even with poor reception, fast speeds are still achievable. For example, in the test, a stable connection could still be established in a basement room, even though the smartphones in the room already showed no reception. So I thought it was maybe the Voda router being a bit rubbish at playing man-in-the-middle (as this is 'up' the daisy chain between the B818 and GS108), and anything just needing the GS108 internal network seems fine.

I live 440 meters from the closest cell tower, and have direct line of sight from a window. As far as I'm aware there is no 5G, I have no way to test either so I didn't go for the 5G version, which is also double the price.

The device is equipped with 4 internal antennas which extend the data transmission range by 40% to produce a strong and stable signal whether you are at home, holiday or for business use Tek kasnije sam pročitao ovu poruku na forumu (žao mi je što je na talijanskom) i zamislio sam da je problem u tome što nisam učitao novi webui 11.0.2.1 (W2SP5C7110) zajedno s firmwareom.HUAWEI B818 sensationally meets the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises supporting use by up to 64 people via a Wi-Fi connection. The unique HUAWEI B818 antenna provides high performance and helps in full coverage in many directions. And if the signal is too weak in your location, you can amplify it by adding two 3G/4G LTE external antennas. We recommend this outdoor antenna for Huawei B818 router: http://www.4gltemall.com/4g-lte-outdoor-antenna-2-x-ts-9-connectors.html With its sleek and modern design, the Huawei B818-263 router is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. It is compact in size, making it easy to place in any location. The power consumption is according to Huawei at a maximum of 24 watts. A battery is not integrated in the Huawei B818 LTE router.

The Vodafone Gigacube CAT19 or Huawei B818 is worthwhile for anyone who would like to have a particularly good LTE modem and would like to spend a little more. Even the Huawei B818 can provide high LTE and WLAN speeds for daily use, but probably only for the fewest users. Currently, a cheaper device such as the Vodafone Gigacube CAT6 (Huawei B528) is quite sufficient. The Huawei B818-263 features dual-band Wi-Fi technology, enabling simultaneous connections on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. This enhances network stability and reduces interference for a more reliable and consistent wireless connection. Additionally, the router supports Wi-Fi 6, providing faster and more efficient wireless communication. Equipped with built-in Wi-Fi 802.11ac, the Huawei B818-263 router provides a stable and secure wireless connection. It also features dual-band support, allowing users to connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies for optimal performance.
