About this deal

Its 13mm collet accommodates different drill bits, and that is why you can use it to drill plastic, metal, wood and loose concrete. Torque: Usually, they come in multiple torque settings so that you can use them for various purposes effectively. You can set a high or low torque, depending on the type of job you are carrying out. If anything, the grip is a little on the small side. I’ve got large hands, and the bottom of my palm started rubbing on the battery release button surround almost immediately. I don’t know how comfortable this will be over time, and I don’t think it would be great to use with gloves on. We know it is not a piece of cake searching for products to buy, and that is why this review is created. We hope that you will surely make the right choice.

The overall feeling I got from this cordless drill is that it’s all a bit underwhelming. The design is unremarkable, and the grip isn’t the best. There are a couple of little features like the direction indicator that look good but don’t add to the performance. The drill isn’t very responsive, and the uninspiring drilling speed makes for slow work. As of 2021 Bosch has licensed PowerForAll to other manufacturers whereby batteries between these manufacturers will be interchangeable. The Bosch PSB 1800 comes with 2x 1.5Ah Lithium-ION batteries and a charger capable of recharging them within an hour. You would be hard pushed to be completing a task that didn’t allow for you to work continuously rotating the batteries as they need charging with this Bosch Combi Drill. So remember PowerForAll signifies complete battery compatibility throughout the range. There is however, one caveat to this, some of the very first older chargers will not charge the very latest batteries & a battery charger upgrade will be required if you have a first generation charger. All batteries fit all tools however. The Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 is the best cordless combi drill in our list of 2023. it comes with a Syneon Chip which controls your projects intelligently.

Expensive when compared to some of the other models sold in some of the department stores in the UK. Impressive battery life that lasts 1 hour which is more than enough to get plenty of light jobs done Tools that have motors sometimes overhead however, this drill features a brushless motor which prevents problems like overheating making the tool last longer. With a weight of just 750g, this is up there with some of the lightest power tools sold on the UK market today. It is powered by a 12 V battery which can be used on other Bosch power tools you might own in your arsenal. Freedom to move around, compactness and performance are all the things you get with this tool. You will like the compactness of this machine, and that is why you can store it without consuming much space. There is an integrated LED lighting, which helps in brightening your working area.

There is a forward and reverse switch, making it possible for you to be flexible with your operations. If you are working in a poorly-lit area, you don’t need to worry. A white LED lighting will illuminate your working area. A strong belt clip is in place for easy transportation of the tool. You will like its compactness, which guarantees convenient and space-saving storage.

Strong and versatile, the outstanding Bosch cordless drill is exactly what any professional needs for those big projects they might be working on. You can effortlessly switch between impact drilling, drilling, and screwing without breaking a sweat. It offers you the right amount of power you need to get your tasks dined thanks to 20 torque settings. It comes with variable speed control so that you won’t have much problem working on different applications. It has reverse and forward functions, making it easier for you to use this machine for various purposes. Coming last in this review is the Terratek FUT18V01-3, and it is included in this list due to its versatile features. It comes with a variable speed trigger, making it possible for you to handle various applications without much stress. It has forward and reverse levers so that you can effortlessly switch the tool between drilling and screw withdrawal. Also, they can work in a rotary drilling mode so that you can use them as standard drills. This mode makes use of fast rotation to make drill bits penetrate many surfaces like plastic, wood and some metals. However, this mode works best if you use it on soft materials. You can use low torque to screw small screws while a high torque can be used on larger screws. If you don’t know the ideal torque for your work, you can adjust it to discover the right one for you. The grip shape is fine, but it’s not as refined compared to the ones on the Ryobi R18PD3 or the DeWalt DCD796. Bosch have been a bit stingy on the rubberised sections as well, as the tips of my fingers are trying to grip on to hard plastic during use. It’s just not as comfortable as some of the other cordless drills on my list. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You get a decent case and two batteries to play with. These two Power Alliance batteries can fuel a range of tools by different brands, which is remarkable in the age of proprietary systems. It’s a good place to start as long as you don’t expect this cordless drill to perform like one of Bosch’s Professional level tools. Due to improvement in technology, they have become popular in today’s hi-tech world. Apart from using them for drilling and screwing, you can also use them for heavy-duty applications. These clever Power for All batteries can push the business end of the drill to a maximum drilling speed of 1,350 rpm. It’s not class-leading but it’s fast enough for most jobs. In hammer mode, you get a maximum of 20,250 bpm, which is the slowest of all the combi drills I’ve tested and reviewed. The 38 Newton metres of torque it puts out isn’t beating any of the bigger name brands on the list either.
