The Doctor's World: Revisionist History Sees Pasteur As Liar Who Stole Rival's Ideas by Lawrence K. Altman. The New York Times, May 16, 1995. A book review summarizing serious shortcomings in Pasteur's scientific work. Pasteurization either destroys or deactivates microorganisms and enzymes that contribute to food spoilage or the risk of disease, including vegetative bacteria, but most bacterial spores survive the process. [1] [2]

Umbilical hose reeler for slurry application, random or compartmentalised, trailed or mounted. Must include a minimum of 400 m of hose. A system/station that has the minimum functionality to record barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and direction, solar radiation, UV levels, soil moisture and soil temperature. The system must be able to link wirelessly to a computer. The cost includes the station, mounting facilities and sensors for above functionality. Excludes installation costs, service costs annual licence fee for software and calibration. Depending on legislation and regulations, the design of process lines for pasteurized market milk varies a great deal from country to country and even from dairy to dairy. For instance, fat standardization (if applied) may be executed in-batch before pasteurization or in-line where the standardization system is integrated into a pasteurization unit. Homogenization may be total or partial. The filters, usually fitted in parallel twins permits continuous processing as one can be cleaned while the other is running.Beer technology creates 'supermilk': BBC News, January 19, 2001. Announcing the development of PurFiltre milk, which uses a ceramic filter to remove bacteria instead of high heat treatment. Clean the filters regularly (between 2 to 10 operational hours depending on the level of dirt) to avoid the growth of bacteria. Energy consumptions is reduced with the use of a water pump which allows a faster exchange of energy between both of media (water and milk). Medical equipment, notably respiratory and anesthesia equipment, is often disinfected using hot water, as an alternative to chemical disinfection. The temperature is raised to 70°C (1 stainless steel electronic control panel with colour touch screen for easy control of the pasteurization process.

Prior to industrialization, dairy cows were kept in urban areas to limit the time between milk production and consumption, hence the risk of disease transmission via raw milk was reduced. [23] As urban densities increased and supply chains lengthened to the distance from country to city, raw milk (often days old) became recognized as a source of disease. For example, between 1912 and 1937, some 65,000 people died of tuberculosis contracted from consuming milk in England and Wales alone. [24] Because tuberculosis has a long incubation period in humans, it was difficult to link unpasteurized milk consumption with the disease. [25] In 1892, chemist Ernst Lederle experimentally inoculated milk from tuberculosis-diseased cows into guinea pigs, which caused them to develop the disease. [26] In 1910, Lederle, then in the role of Commissioner of Health, introduced mandatory pasteurization of milk in New York City. [26] A centrifugal clarifier (not the one used for standardization) is used to remove all soil and sediments from milk. Fibre optic networking cable (minimum 50 m lengths) plus minimum two media convertors to enable devices to connect for agricultural use. including Darius Payne's Combined pasteurizer, cream ripener, churn, and butter worker (from 1901). People are still developing new kinds of pasteurizers to this day: like heat-treated milk, ingenious ideas can last a very long time!Programmable milk feeder for calves, capable of individually feeding and monitoring calf intake. Able to alert if calf is not drinking or drinking less than normal. Must automatically self-clean feeding tube and teat between each feeding. Capable of feeding 30 calves individually. Cost is for one programmable milk feeder and one feed station. A system using precision camera guided hoes, to remove weeds from within horticultural crop rows. The system must be able to automatically distinguish the difference between the crop and weeds. Minimum working width 1.8 m. There are customers who will consume skim milk only while there are those who will take low-fat milk. There are those who will take standardized milk while there are those who prefer high-fat milk. In addition to the MF module there is a high temperature treatment module for the cream. The cream is heat treated at up to 130 °C for a couple of seconds and remixed with microfiltered skim milk via the standardization module. After re-mixing, the standardized milk is homogenized and finally pasteurized at 72 °C for 15 – 20 seconds and cooled to +4 °C. Pasteurized milk products are liquid products made from milk and cream intended for use directly by consumers. This group of products includes whole milk, skim milk, standardized milk and various types of cream.
