Kreps, Daniel (19 January 2023). "Pink Floyd Announce Massive 'Dark Side of the Moon' 50th Anniversary Box Set". Rolling Stone . Retrieved 12 February 2023. On 25 June, the band were challenged to a football match by a group of journalists. They defeated the group 4-3. [1] Tour dates [ edit ] Date The first date of the tour was recorded by France's Europe 1 radio, with segments broadcast later in the year. It featured the debut of " Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (with the two halves played as one, as on the British 1974 tour) and " Raving and Drooling". [1] The 22 June gig was the last time " Careful with that Axe, Eugene" was played aside from a one-off performance in 1977, [4] while the last date on the tour, 26 June, was the last time " One of These Days" was played until 1987. [5]

There does not appear to be any standalone reissues of the 2023 remaster of The Dark Side of the Moon, so the three physical formats for this 50th anniversary campaign are: deluxe box set, vinyl LP of Live at Wembley 1974 and CD of Live at Wembley 1974. Unlike with Animals, they are not making the spatial audio available separately, so buying the box set is the only way to get the Atmos mix, physically. Snider, Mike. "Pink Floyd's classic 'The Dark Side of the Moon' turns 50 and is still unsettling to some". USA TODAY . Retrieved 12 February 2023. Billboard Japan Hot Albums – Week of March 29, 2023". Billboard Japan (in Japanese) . Retrieved 4 April 2023.

The tour was commercially successful, and featured improved lighting and a new video display system named "Mr Screen". However, the music was criticised in the press for being uninspiring and too similar to the studio albums.

Dark Side Of The Moon – Live At Wembley 1974 is not just any live recording long after the fact, it is in many ways even superior to the studio album that gave birth to it, unquenchable, reliable, insistent, beautiful. Ten years or fifty, the sound of a specific moment in time has never sounded so memorable. REPLICA OF EMI PAMPHLET AND INVITE TO THE PREVIEW OF THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON AT THE LONDON PLANETARIUM ON 27TH FEBRUARY 1973 The 1974 French Summer Tour, was a short concert tour running from 18 to 26 June.
