About this deal

Once you have verified you have the correct version of Audi MMI, the next step is to format an SD card as exFAT and copy the contents of the maps 7zip file. (Extract the 7zip to a folder and copy its contents to the SD card). Now the fun part/bit that just takes a bit of time, we will create the bundle manually. First thing to do is load up POIBase on your windows machine, this can be done on mac but it just works better on Windows: We are the number one provider for quality navigation update discs in the United Kingdom and Europe. All our sat nav discs are tested before dispatch and come with a full 12 months warranty. Whether your sat nav is CD, DVD, HDD, or SD based we can update it to the very latest version. The are so many cards available I am a bit lost as to what to go for in a hope to to get a dud or pay for something that is incorrect. This process will take a minute or two, but when it is done, your SD card should look something like this:

Navigation maps are used for traffic sign recognition, predictive cruise control (pACC) [If your car supports it, note this update will not add cruise control to a car without it], and other environment-related features. That's why it's a good idea to keep those maps updated. Required Software/Hardware Three memory cards and instructions arrived within a couple of days. Having read an earlier review I waited until I had a spare afternoon to load them. I'm hoping to get the issue resolved amicably soon with the non-Audi dealer I bought the car from, will let you know how it goes. And I found the Audi MMI/SD system gives the most bizzare routes too frequently, wereas the free Waze or Google Maps are far better and will also route around current traffic dynamically and you get upto date maps always. Because I happen to have the Audi MMI/SD based maps, I use it sometimes to show an overview of a longer journey (according to Audi) just for the benefit of passengers who can see it and want to answer the 'are we nearly there yet?' question themselves ;-)To be honest though it seems really expensive for something that an iPhone does much better for free. Aug 24, 2022 • 8 min read Before diving in, it is assumed that any changes you make to your car are at YOUR OWN RISK! Made sure to read the instructions beforehand and noticed it could take a few hours so waited until I had a free afternoon. My Audi hasn't been updated since 2016 and I was pleasantly supprised that it only took about a hour and a half to complete everything! The instructions couldn't of been more clear and were really easy to follow.

Sitting comfortably inside the interior of your Audi, locate the SD ports on the center console just behind the gearshift and MMI knob. Upon completion, the dashboard will show 'Component has been updated successfully. Navigation database Current Version: 2022/2023: I plug my phone in ti the USB port and use the Android Auto (or Apple Play) which allows Google Maps. It has the RMC MMI which has the nav maps on an SD card. I didn't realise until after I took delivery that the SD card was missing and therefore the navigation wouldn't work.

Interface and Bluetooth interface with Bluetooth audio streaming. Only in combination with Driver’s Information System (9Q7) Also trying to enter destination by voice is cumbersome I find with many confirmations required which need you to look at screen - which defeats the purpose of voice. To find out whether your card isn't paired with another car they will do it but will charge you the activation fee regardless. If it can be paired then great, if not they will charge for a new SD card.
