Updating can also be performed by inserting into the R-07 a microSD card on which R-07.UPD has been saved in the root directory. Never turn off the R-07's power while the update is in progress. Otherwise the system program or the R-07 itself may be destroyed. Please install the extracted system program file into your R-07 according to the following procedure.

Typically I lean toward manual control modes for tech devices, as the convenience features often involve compromise. As it turned out, Scenes is a timesaver and great for impromptu recordings. I used it extensively during my time wi th the R-07. It stores and recalls settings for the sample rate, recording mode (eg 2x WAV-24bit dual recording mode, MP3-128kbps etc), limiter, low frequency cut and input level. Scenarios include “Field”, “Voice Memo”, “Loud Practice” and so on. The pre-configured settings and titles are well chosen, but are easily customisable and can be overwritten. Defaults are easily recoverable too. Once you recall a Scene from the dedicated button you are not tied down and can use it as a starting point, from where you can change any of the settings. Recording: Approximately 15 hours *This can vary depending on the specifications of the batteries, capacity of the batteries, and the conditions of use. Recording enabling and initiating on the R-07 is much more intuitive and easy to see. On the M10 you must hit the record button then hit the Pause button that is pulsing a faint amber. Many a recordings of mine do not exist because I didn’t hit that dimly pulsing pause button. The R-07 you hit the Record button twice, which flashes then sustains a very bright red ring, which is easy to see in daylight conditions (or what passes for daylight up here in Redmond).
