About this deal

The information provided in the book is relevant and can withstand the test of time. This book will not become obsolete within a short span of time. It would be easy to update this textbook with new images and examples. A glossary is included and appears to be thorough, and a solid reflection of the content of the book. Use appropriate anatomical terminology to identify key body structures, body regions, and directions in the body The modules were appropriate in size and the interactive nature of the review questions and the critical thinking questions is a welcome addition to any textbook.

I did not find any real grammatical issues. Comprehensive, illustrated, and perhaps most importantly: applicable in practice. The latest edition of this best-selling textbook proves difficult to put down.The text does not appear to culturally insensitive or offensive. Many of the photographs used to support the learning objectives include people of a variety of races. Dr Kate Kauteris an Associate Professor in biomedical science at the University of Southern Queensland. She has taught anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and microbiology to students from many disciplines including nursing, biomedical sciences, food sciences and agricultural sciences, among others. Kate has developed a number of digital activities to increase student interaction with these content areas and has deployed the use of current technologies, including use of 3D and animations in practical classes to inspire students’ learning. The latest venture is the provision of an open education resource for the study of anatomy and physiology to allow all students access to the fundamental information needed in the understanding of the human body. I did not run into any significant interface issues, but some of the images are slightly distorted.
