An electric drywall sander is the best drywall sander for hard-to-reach places like sanding ceilings and walls. This wall sander has a vacuum-shaped tube with a circular sanding pad that can be adjusted for different heights and is simply run along the wall surface to sand and eliminate dust at the same time.The BIG issue is the extraction capability. We have the corded/cordless Makita XCV13Z dust extractor (we plug it into the wall). We also tried our traditional shop-vac. In both cases dust was still puffing out everywhere. There are better corded units that get almost all of the airborne dust. This unit does not. You will still need to do some major cleanup after sanding.
